About

What is the Celebration of Hope?

CELEBRATION OF HOPE was about Christians in Singapore rallying together and reaching out to share Jesus Christ with friends and relatives.

The message proclaimed was that Jesus Christ was the one name in which everyone could have solid hope.

The vision had been one of personal evangelism on a mass scale, culminating in Gospel rallies at the 50,000-capacity National Stadium over three days, from 17 to 19 May 2019.

Regional Prayer Meetings

There were 8 centres across 4 regions where churches gathered for prayer.

Leaders were encouraged to bring their members to a nearby COH Prayer Meeting.

The body of Christ came together to pray for a brokenness in spirit, unity in the Body, and a bountiful harvest.

A Past Word from the Chairman

CELEBRATION OF HOPE was about Christians in Singapore rallying together and reaching out to share Jesus Christ with friends and relatives. The message we proclaimed was that Jesus Christ was the one name in which everyone could have solid hope. The vision had been one of personal evangelism on a mass scale, culminating in Gospel rallies at the 50,000-capacity National Stadium over three days, from 17 to 19 May 2019.

The vision for COH was birthed in the hands of several pastors in the city in 2017, with the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) and the Evangelical Fellowship of Singapore (EFOS) taking the lead organisationally, and receiving immediate support from the LoveSingapore network of churches.

CELEBRATION OF HOPE was a city-wide endeavour that called on all churches to unite in prayer and to proclaim the life-transforming name of Jesus. Only God could open people’s hearts to hear and believe the message.

Therefore, prayer was foundational to COH, and 2018 was set apart as the Year of Prayer. COH then moved into 2019 as the Year of Proclamation, and extended into 2020 as the Year of Personal Discipleship.

CELEBRATION OF HOPE was about believing God for a mighty harvest of souls who would go on to bless our nation and the world through their new, hope-filled lives. Far more than a one-off event, by the grace and power of God, it became a vital step in revival. Many responded to the call—jumping on board in faith and unity.
